Our Story
My name is Jody Norris, and I am the founder of LifeWork. I love people. And nothing fulfills me more than helping people to experience the greatest joy in life: each other.
Lifework is the culmination of decades of rich experience bringing humans together. My journey began by developing small musical gatherings in my own community, and that passion evolved into training as a facilitator in the storytelling practice of Council.
My empathetic and creative approach to facilitation brought me into schools, corporations, and homes to cultivate a sense of community in an ever-disconnected world. In 2016, I took a pivotal role at Snap Inc., helping to improve company culture by building out the first corporate Council program. I implemented new community-building experiences like listening circles, creative workshops, nature immersion off-sites, and volunteer opportunities.
And having seen the impact on people and teams, I created LifeWork as a solution for any individual or company to experience more meaningful connection and harness the power of community.
